About Fred
For Fred it all started with his Dad’s trains in the 1950s. Fred’s father was a veteran of World War II. After the war his Dad brought home some Japanese trains. His love of trains and model railroading grew from that day. Fred Obermeyer is the proprietor of Obies Trains and a model railroader himself. Fred is a very knowledgeable model railroad enthusiast and is well versed in all scales of trains.
